With teen angst which can still make me feel like I am 15 mixed with hip hop, and punk. This band from the middle of England, came out of nowhere with their mixture of everything form cartoons to Opera.

This song has all of the isolation of a small town, mixed with the the weariness of a big city. This is one for you collection.

It's funny how this the most Australian sounding song, the triffids ever produced, was written and recorded in England. here was a band trying to make sense of the mayhem of the crowds of London

This song is vast, with space around every note, but also deeply personal, This is a song which is longing for home, by a band who was desperately homesick.

this song always finds me when I too am longing for home.

As a long gone Australian TV presenter used to say " do ya self a favour "

it was the interactive art work which attracted my to this album out of my Dad's record collection. I remember turning the dials, and making the pictures ont he cover.

I remember the first time I set the needle down on to the dusty vinyl, then it happend, out of the hiss, a primeval screammade me jump. My eight year old ears were scared, this was music from another planet.

It's my birthday today, so I thought I would share with you one of those song which reminds me of of being 16. Marion was a band which promised so very much. They were fresh and exciting, they were the light of hope of a new smiths, in a world fill with grunge. The were filled with melody, but still were able to rock you to the core.
This song was a b-side to a single that never bothered the charts. and in my mind a great forgotten classic
